Savage Sal is a San Diego based tattoo artist working out of Electric Tiger Tattoo in University Heights.

Raised in Vista, California, Sal began tattooing in 2012 after apprenticing at The Ink Gallery (now MoVal Ink’d) in Moreno Valley.

His work focuses on American Traditional and Japanese tattooing, blending bold, classic imagery with a confident erotic leather influence, inspired by artists such as Cliff Raven and Mad Dog.

Sal primarily tattoos pre-drawn flash, while welcoming select larger-scale custom projects.

He is an active member of the San Diego leather community, a passion that strongly influences his artwork.
